Our Parent First Aid Courses are endorsed by Maternity Hospitals including St. Vincent's Private, Mitcham Private and Waverley Private.
All courses are conducted by experienced paramedics and paediatric nurses from Child Revive First Aid, and the course content is specifically designed for expectant parents and parents of infants and small children.
We are delighted to be able to again offer face-to-face courses in Melbourne, with the following COVID safeguards in place:
Going forward, we will be offering 2 different public course options (previously combined as our "Premium" course): one face-to-face and the other via Zoom as a live video course (so you can still ask questions of the trainer in real-time). The different delivery modes will increase the flexibility to attend at times that suit your parenting journey, and with the comfort of 2 short courses rather than one long one.
Attend our 'Essentials' Course in your third trimester or just after bub arrives for the 'big' topics such as CPR and choking management (includes hands-on practice with our baby manikins at face-to-face courses). Then join our 'Everyday' Course (which utilises video demonstration) live via Zoom at a time that suits you (and from the comfort of your own home) for the topics that you will encounter more often on your parenting journey.
We will also continue to run a regular Essentials course via Zoom for those who are unable to attend our in-person locations, making our courses accessible to parents and parents-to-be right across Australia!
Please scroll down to see the course outlines and upcoming dates for Zoom and Face-to-Face classes.
Please Note: The range of parent first aid courses listed below are different to workplace accredited first aid courses as they do not incorporate adult emergency content and do not require any pre-course learning or assessment at the course. Currently, there is no workplace accredited course that is specific for only infant and child-related emergencies.
